Hayden Panettiere says that she’s looking forward to turning 18 because she wants to really rough it up on set.
“There are certain stunts that they won’t let me do because I’m a minor and now this next season I get to do them,” the actress told reporters in a phone conference yesterday. “Yay!”
Hayden’s birthday is on August 21st.

The invincible cheerleader from “Heroes” isn’t so sweet in real life, she admits.
“People look at me as sweet,” Hayden Panettiere said yesterday. But “I would never describe myself like that.
“I think I’ve always been categorized, and sometimes typecast, because I’m blonde, and people look at me as either the popular cheerleader type or just the blonde, and you don’t play villains when you’re blonde, unless you’re Sharon Stone.”
Panettiere, 17, who plays Claire Bennett, a teen with the power to instantly heal after any injury, says she would give anything to play a villain for once.
“I wish I could turn bad,” she says of her character, who matured last season from a selfish teenager into a noble do-gooder.

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere got on the line with journalists from across the country this morning, and BuddyTV was among them. Hayden gave us informative and articulate insights into her approach to the character of Claire, the transformations awaiting the character in Heroes Season 2, Europe, Friendship, and blood, lots of blood.
Hayden will be touring Europe as part of the Heroes world tour meant to promote the show in foreign markets. The highlights of the tour will be London and Paris. No one dared to ask what the impact of the trip would mean for her onscreen alter ego, but since Heroes second season is now in full production, you can expect that the tour means we’ll be having some Claire-lite episodes early in season 2 of Heroes.
To the question of whether we would be seeing the same old Claire, Hayden was conspicuously cagey. Even though promo shots have already circulated showing Claire in her spiffy new cheerleader gear, Hayden seemed to indicate there was a bit more behind that then we might expect. Don’t bank on a Claire season one redux. In fact, Panettiere said that if anything season 2 was about playing against the blond cheerleader / homecoming queen stereotypes she fit into so easily with Heroes season 1.
One thing that fans of the Claire Bear might be surprised to hear is that Hayden would secretly love to play a villain. “In the show, anything is possible. You never know what is going to happen. I doubt it, but anything is possible.” Hayden said.

Hayden Panettiere isn’t satisfied with her TV character’s secret power - she wishes she was invisible instead. The 17-year-old plays Claire Bennet, who is immortal, and able to regenerate her body after potentially fatal injuries. But after months being hounded by the press, Panettiere would rather be able to go unnoticed.
She says, “I would like the ability to be invisible. Obviously we can blame most of it on the people who are doing the bad things that they’re not supposed to be doing. But with cameras in your face all the time, it leaves you no room to mess up even slightly.
“If I could lock up my door, and drive my car out of my driveway and not be followed by paparazzi, I would be a very happy person.”

During a recent press conference with Hayden Panettiere to promote the August 28 DVD/HD-DVD release of Heroes: Season 1, Panettiere gave movieweb.com some thoughts on what scenes might really stand out in the next generation format:
Is there anything on the DVD, perhaps a scene that you think looks fantastic in that format or high definition?
Hayden Panettiere: Oh gosh, you get to see up close and personal how beautiful Sendhil (Ramamurthy) really is. (Laughs) I think the blood and the guts would look even more… uhhhh… oh my gosh, I can’t imagine. I think there’s so many special effects. There’s so many really cool shots in the backgrounds, in just the scenery, that is incredible. New York City and just those skylines. We did some blue screen too and I’m sure that looks insane. I could see the blood and the guts and hurling myself off the gravel towel being pretty cool to watch in high def.

The San Fernando Valley was blistering hot yesterday — not because of the 90 degree heat — because of smokin’ hot Hayden Panettiere!
Seen on the set of “Heroes,” the world-saving cheerleader was hoping someone would save her from the scorching Valley temp. Get this girl some Gatorade. Nurse!
When jokingly asked by photogs “when her DUI case would be,” the almost legal starlet exclaimed, “Never!” We’ll see!

Hayden is stunned to find herself a Hollywood sex symbol, because she started life as a tomboy. The Heroes star, 17, has quickly become a regular feature in men’s magazines and an object of adolescent male’s desires. But a few years ago she was wearing boy’s clothes and playing football with the opposite sex. Panettiere says, “I was the one saying, ‘C’mon, let’s play football!’, and my brother Jansen, who’s five years younger, was the most delicate one. I remember going to school one day, looking at the boy beside me and saying, ‘Oh, I have those pants.’ “He said, ‘I’ll never wear them again.’ I told him, ‘Don’t worry - I shop in the boys’ section.”

Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere hates being called “the next Lindsay Lohan”–because she wants to be famous for acting and not partying.
Like Lohan, the Heroes actress was a child star and acted in commercials before graduating to adult roles–but she insists that’s where the comparison ends.
Panettiere says, “I don’t have anything mean to say about Lindsay. The thing about this business is, when you’re a young person–generally a young woman–you get pigeonholed. When you don’t fall off your horse right away, people will try to knock you off.
“For example, the other day I was walking out of a bar in Hollywood, El Scorpio, with some of my Heroes castmates. Someone drove by and shouted, ‘Give them hell, Lindsay!’ I said, ‘Please don’t call me Lindsay.’ It’s sickening that people want to knock me down. They don’t know me!”

Hayden Panettiere – who is a budding singer – will make a guest appearance with fellow cast member Greg Grunberg’s all-star Band From TV this weekend, she confirms to People magazine.
“I sang with them at the wrap party for our show,” Panettiere, 17, told PEOPLE Tuesday at a party in L.A. celebrating NBC’s fall season. “I saw them and said, ‘Anytime you guys want me to perform with you I’m totally up for it.’ ”
Panettiere says she’ll jump at any chance to practice singing onstage. “I have terrible stage fright and [with an album coming out] I’ll need to go on tour at some point – so I need to practice.”
How serious is Panettiere’s stage fright? “The Fourth of July performance in Washington, D.C., was so nerve-wracking that I’m surprised I even made it on stage,” she tells PEOPLE.
But Grunberg later laughed off Panettiere’s claims. “Give me a break,” he said. “She just played in front of like 500,000 people!”
This weekend’s audience is expected to be closer to 5,000, according to Grunberg.
“That’s like the biggest audience we’ve played. It’s really exciting,” he says. “We’re going to do a whole set, and then [Hayden] is going to do two amazing songs.”
So what exactly will Panettiere sing? “I’m singing Meredith Brooks’s ‘Bitch,’ and then I’m singing Alanis Morissette’s ‘Ironic,’” she says. “It’ll be fun!”
